Staffing Specialist, GoodWork Staffing – Charlotte

Kathleen “Katie” Bermudez is a Staffing Specialist for GoodWork Staffing.

Previously, Katie spent 17 years with an international contract services company with operations throughout the world and throughout the United States. Katie held several roles within the operation’s management and Human Resources areas of its “on-site” accounts in Northern Virginia, North Carolina, Texas and Florida. She led teams of professionals throughout those regions, and also kept roles as an individual contributor.

In her professional roles, Katie has been responsible for organizing and coordinating retail and wholesale operations, recruiting and training employees, direct employee relations and conflict resolution processes, along with all aspects of employee development, performance management, benefits and compensation.

Directly and indirectly, Katie has over 18 years of experience in the Human Resources fields. She has developed significant expertise in the recruiting, onboarding and training areas, forming and developing teams, and promoting fair, diverse, and equitable work environments. She has also achieved proficiency in compensation, benefits, conflict resolution and overall employee relations.

Katie is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and earned a bachelor’s in Hospitality Management and a minor in Sociology from Virginia Tech, a master’s in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University and a certificate in Benefits and Compensation from Florida Atlantic University. She is also PHR certified. 

In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time with her children and family. She also enjoys couponing, cooking and traveling.
